Clickers is our strongest cheese. It has a firm cheddar like texture and full of flavour. It is a great addition to a cheese board or a ploughman’s and goes well with Friars Farm Northampton Pickle. It is matured for a minimum of three months and ideal for cooking with.
This cheese got its name from a boot and shoe clicker, the person who cuts the uppers for the boots or shoes from a piece of leather or man made material. The knife the clicker used made a clicker noise when cutting against the brass plate.
